Position Overview

Lead Financial Analyst - EMEA

Location: Hybrid in the United Kingdom

BlueVoyant, a prominent global cyber defense organization, is on the lookout for a Lead Financial Analyst to enhance the accounting and finance operations within the EMEA region. This role will involve close collaboration with the Finance Head for the UK, contributing significantly to the finance team by ensuring precision and adherence to accounting standards and regulations across our European branches.

This position is well-suited for candidates with experience in dynamic startup or technology environments. As the company continues its rapid growth, the Lead Financial Analyst will assume a versatile and evolving role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Finance Manager in the monthly closing process, including the reconciliation of balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
  • Facilitate financial reporting in accordance with local GAAP or IFRS and US GAAP standards.
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries for various entities across Europe.
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliations.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting.
  • Record and reconcile banking transactions.
  • Handle accounts receivable/accounts payable transactions, including invoicing.
  • Support tax return preparation, VAT, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Contribute to system implementation initiatives affecting financial reporting systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • European accounting certification or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a comparable position.
  • Strong practical understanding of accounting standards and practices relevant to multinational corporations; experience with 'Big 4' firms is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong sense of accountability.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to design and maintain effective internal controls, systems, and procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Experience in preparing supporting documentation for annual financial statement audits.
