Compensation: £26,557.66 per annum
Work Schedule: 4 on 4 off - Days
As an Operations Controller, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of warehouse operations. You will collaborate closely with warehouse personnel, Shift Supervisors, and Shift Managers to optimize workflow and maintain operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the outbound logistics schedule to guarantee timely collections and deliveries.
- Provide clear instructions to staff to facilitate efficient inbound and outbound processes.
- Ensure accuracy in all documentation related to outbound shipments.
- Act as the primary contact for drivers upon their arrival.
- Communicate operational challenges to the Shift Manager promptly to mitigate disruptions.
- Engage actively with the operations team, contributing ideas for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
- Maintain effective communication with transport providers to prevent delays and delivery issues.
- Prepare comprehensive handovers for the next shift, detailing potential challenges and current operational status.
Qualifications:
- Strong prioritization skills based on scheduling and resource availability.
- High attention to detail is essential.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- In-depth knowledge of on-site operational systems.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with Autostore and RF technology is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ambition for career advancement.
- Flexibility in work approach and shift patterns to accommodate absences.
- Professional demeanor in interactions with customers and third-party logistics providers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
