Job Title: Team Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled clinician to take up the role of Team Manager for the South Tyneside Children and Young People's service in South Tyneside.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operational duties of the team, including meeting performance targets and supporting the clinical manager with service improvement and delivery.
  • Manage the workforce and HR issues of the wider team, including line management responsibility for all disciplines excluding medic colleagues.
  • Work closely with the pathway coordinator and clinical manager to manage waiting times and ensure the service is running efficiently.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • First-level registered nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD, or equivalent) or social worker, OT, clinical psychologist, or other relevant qualification.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification or training.
  • Experience of coordinating and managing staff resources, working within a multi-disciplinary team, and leading teams.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements and experience of conducting and evaluating clinical audit.
