About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Major Projects Team in the Leicestershire region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to our Quantity Surveyors in the development and implementation of all pre and post-contract strategies, commercial functions, and contract reporting.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work collaboratively with our customers and industry specialists to deliver high-profile, technically complex projects across multiple sectors. Your primary focus will be on adding value, ensuring compliance, commercial viability, and best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontract works, including commercial assessment of quotes received and timely placement of orders to facilitate project delivery and ensure business objectives are met.
  • Commercial management of smaller subcontract packages, ensuring all contractual processes are completed on time, including measurement and valuation of subcontract applications.
  • Complete agreed record keeping in relation to the project, while monitoring and handling payments in relation to plant, materials, and labor.
