About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a quantity surveyor to join a growing business in the Midlands and take on a challenging role in groundworks project management.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Cost Estimation & Budget Management: Accurately estimate project costs for residential groundworks, including excavation, foundations, drainage, and landscaping.
  2. Tendering & Procurement: Prepare detailed tender documents and lead the procurement process for materials, subcontractors, and equipment.
  3. Contract Administration: Manage and administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and resolving any disputes that arise.
  4. Risk Management & Cost Control: Identify potential risks related to groundworks, such as unforeseen site conditions, and implement cost control measures to mitigate these risks.
  5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with architects, engineers, site managers, and clients to ensure the groundworks phase aligns with overall project objectives.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have a background in groundworks, ideally on housing developments or infrastructure, and be able to hit the ground running in a new role.
