About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at CareTech UK. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, severe physical disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, challenging behaviour, mental health, forensic needs, and acquired brain injury.

Your primary responsibility will be to support service users with their daily needs, including meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, and social events. You will also be required to maintain accurate records and notes, as well as communicate effectively with service users, families, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the implementation of individual support plans and activities
  • Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others
  • Support service users with daily tasks, such as meal preparation and laundry
  • Maintain accurate records and notes
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide high-quality care
Requirements
  • Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one
  • Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Confidence to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for working with vulnerable adults
  • Commitment to achieving high standards of safeguarding
