AO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Night Shift team. As a Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our night shift, working closely with our Night Shift Supervisor and the Warehouse team to achieve our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Night Shift Supervisor and lead the team in their absence, ensuring seamless continuity of operations.
- Work alongside the Warehouse team, leading by example and coaching the team to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Support training for new starters, including Safe Systems of Work and Health and Safety procedures.
- Promote a safe working environment, ensuring the team adheres to Health and Safety procedures at all times.
- Continuously work towards reducing damage levels, identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Delegate driver workload and allocate tasks to the team, processing paperwork efficiently.
- Support with driver packs for the outgoing shift, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Assist with fleet management, ensuring all vehicles remain roadworthy and meet transport legislation requirements.
- Help support shunting on the yard, ensuring site speed and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
Requirements
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Able to build strong relationships with people, even in high-pressure situations.
- Able to make decisions independently, driving performance and service excellence.
- Quickly react to information and solve problems effectively, with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Competent use of Microsoft, particularly Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
