We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at EMED Group. As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing safe and efficient transportation services to our patients, while also delivering exceptional care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Transport patients to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities, ensuring a high level of empathy and care at all times.
- Assist in the transportation of patients with challenging behavior and/or mental health illnesses, requiring a calm and considerate approach.
- Responsible for lifting, securing, and helping patients in and out of the ambulance, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Assist with the handing over of patients to appropriate staff on arrival at treatment centers/hospitals or to family/friends at their homes.
- Transfer patients from beds to stretchers, chairs to chairs, or similar, both in and out of hospital and medical/commercial flights.
- Committed to patient care and well-being.
- Effective communicator with experience of communicating with others in emotional circumstances.
- Calm, considerate, and careful driver with no more than three penalty points on your license.
- Natural flair for team working and collaboration.
- Physically fit for patient handling and moving.
- Pass an Enhanced DBS check (company-funded).
- Ability to work flexible shifts.
- Familiarity with the local and surrounding area.
