Communication Support Practitioner

About the Role
EKC Group is seeking a skilled Communication Support Practitioner to join Broadstairs College. As a key member of our team, you will provide British Sign Language signing and learning support to students on various programs of study and/or courses.
In this rewarding role, you will use a range of support strategies to select and adapt tasks, resources, and learning activities to encourage and motivate students working in conjunction with Inclusive Learning tutors. You will also undertake EHCP In-Year Reviews for students with hearing impairment and attend/support communication in Annual Reviews.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is qualified to a minimum level 3 in British Sign Language. You will have an excellent understanding of the role and impact of additional learning support and will make a significant contribution to the development of teaching and learning at EKC Group.
The ideal candidate will be an imaginative signer who can nurture positive attitudes to learning, resulting in the best outcomes for our students. You will also have the ability to work with students who have specific medical/feeding needs, and experience in this area would be an advantage.
