Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at the UK R&D facility in a junior capacity:

MECHANICAL AND ELECTRONICS TESTING SPECIALIST

This role involves executing mechanical and electronic testing in accordance with specified test orders and aiding in the compilation of analytical reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical and electronic testing activities as per test directives, with results reviewed in collaboration with Test Engineers.
  • Assist Engineers in the preparation of comprehensive engineering reports through the aggregation of test data.
  • Collaborate with Test Engineers to address existing model and production challenges by performing necessary tests.
  • Support the assembly of component and system testing rigs and equipment to meet regulatory and customer specifications.
  • Help procure materials and components essential for testing apparatus and rigs.
  • Engage in the development of innovative technologies, methodologies, and processes, and conduct benchmark testing for current and future product innovations.

Qualifications:

  • HND or equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project Software.
  • Ability to interpret engineering schematics and component inspection techniques.
  • Experience with general-purpose mechanical laboratory testing equipment, including preventative maintenance and calibration practices.
  • Familiarity with computer-controlled data acquisition systems is advantageous.
  • Understanding of pneumatic systems relevant to trucks and heavy trailers is a plus.
  • Knowledge of quality management standards such as IATF16494, ISO 9001, ISO 4001, and APQP is beneficial.
