Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse at our facility, you will be an integral part of the Long-Term Ventilation and Step-Down Team, providing individualized care for young patients with diverse and complex medical needs, including those requiring long-term ventilation through various methods. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists such as Music Therapists and Complementary Therapists, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
Our organization operates continuously throughout the year, offering services around the clock. Therefore, you will be expected to work on a shift basis to maintain the highest standards of care.

At our facility, we facilitate the transition from hospital to home for medically stable children and young individuals who require ongoing ventilation support. Our Long-Term Ventilation and Step-Down Team plays a crucial role in this process, ensuring that families receive the necessary support and guidance.

Role Expectations
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding care in a family-centered environment, working closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include:

Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Valid nursing registration (RSCN/RN - Child Branch/RNLD/RGN) with relevant post-registration experience.
- Experience working with children and young people (0-25 years) with complex health needs.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to high standards of clinical care.
- Ability to mentor and support fellow team members.
- Teamwork and leadership capabilities.
- Understanding of evidence-based practice.
Desirable Qualifications
