Our Preston site is expanding, and we are seeking a dedicated Despatch Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our despatch department by overseeing the collection and distribution of products.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and guide a team of Despatch Operatives, ensuring they adhere to established procedures for scanning, product assignment, and paperwork management.
  • Guarantee that all retail orders are accurately picked, packaged, and delivered promptly.
  • Manage the efficient collection and palletization of orders, including stock rotation, shelf maintenance, and proper location utilization.
  • Receive incoming chilled products, packaging materials, and ingredients, overseeing the accurate re-labelling process.
  • Collaborate with office staff to coordinate loading schedules and delivery bookings.
  • Communicate effectively with your team, providing clear instructions and feedback on performance standards.
Your Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in FMCG manufacturing, ideally within the food industry.
  • A successful track record of managing teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in FOPS and Nav systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling clear interaction with high-profile customers.
