First Clinical Ltd is seeking an experienced Interim General Manager to lead our Blood Sciences Division. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the operational performance of the division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-focused services, and meeting financial targets.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Operational Leadership**: Be fully accountable for the operational performance of the Blood Sciences Division, including the delivery of clinical safety, clinical governance, clinical quality, and financial targets.
- **Strategic Direction**: Collaborate with the Divisional management team to drive forward divisional-wide programs of work and service direction.
- **Performance Indicators**: Deliver agreed performance indicators related to clinical outcomes, clinical efficiency, and service line reporting.
- **Performance Management**: Ensure that all areas of the division have clearly defined performance objectives, supported by a management regime to deliver continuous improvement.
- **Reporting and Analysis**: Develop and implement effective reporting arrangements to accurately record and monitor performance against targets, and proactively manage any variances.
- **Executive Reporting**: Provide regular reports to the Executive Directors, ensuring that appropriate follow-up actions are completed.
- **Leadership and Accountability**: Hold Lead Clinicians, Deputy Divisional Managers, Clinical Scientists, and laboratory Managers accountable for delivering their objectives through regular performance review meetings.
**Requirements**
Applicants should have a strong background in blood sciences management, with experience in leading high-performing teams and driving operational excellence. A proven track record of delivering financial targets and improving clinical outcomes is essential.
