Job Title: Project (Program) Leader

About the Role:

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project (Program) Leader to join our Integrated Powertrain Product & Process Manager team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading critical product-related projects, engaging with multi-functional teams, and providing leadership for tactical and strategic projects that support our cross-platform needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead critical product-related projects, following the corporate New Product Introduction and work group standard processes.
  • Engage with multi-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of Project Objectives.
  • Provide leadership for tactical and strategic projects that support our cross-platform needs (2.8l-7.1l).
  • Work closely with the Product and Programme Managers to ensure that projects are aligned with platforms long-term strategic requirements and our 5-to-10 year technology plan.
  • Oversee creation of project plans and maintaining the plan schedule in support of Gateway/Customer introduction needs.
  • Communicate programme status to the broader organisation, ensuring stakeholder alignment on progress and direction.
  • Work cross-platform with other members of the Product management team to ensure that all product requirements are understood and being met.
  • Highlight issues before they become a problem by spotting patterns across platforms/products, owning resolution as necessary.
  • Support issue resolution to problems using structured and methodical approach to root cause.
