About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team to achieve commercial performance, treating the store as if it were your own business, and always thinking of new ways to improve the offering.
- Lead on all people activities, including recruitment, induction, training, and development, ensuring an inclusive culture where everyone is empowered to deliver great customer service.
- Build and manage relationships, understanding the important role the store plays in supporting the local community.
About You
Our Store Managers typically have prior experience in fast-paced, service-focused environments such as retail, convenience, or the hospitality sector. This is not a requirement, but you will need experience in the following:
- A passion for spotting and developing talent.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and inspire to create a successful team culture.
- Ability to influence, listen, and understand other perspectives to inspire and think broadly about new ways of doing things.
- A passion for rolling up your sleeves to support the team in delivering store objectives.
- High level of resilience and the ability to work through problems.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary.
- Superb benefits package, including 10% colleague discount at McColls & Morrisons Daily stores and 15% at Morrisons Supermarket stores.
- Contributory Pension.
- 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).
- Access to BHSF private healthcare (after 12 months).
- Access to Health & Wellbeing support.
Leadership Development
Morrisons is passionate about growing its own talent. We have a Leadership School across all work levels in our business, providing leadership and technical development opportunities for our employees.
Working Hours
As a Store Manager, your hours will be driven by the needs of your customers and the business. You will be required to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends, with flexibility needed.
DBS Check
As part of this role, you may be involved in managing and interacting with children 16 and under, due to our large Home News Delivery operation. Therefore, the successful candidate may be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check, or if based in Scotland, a PVG check before joining the business.
