Job Title: Yard Operative

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Yard Operative to join our team at More Recruitment Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and safe yard environment, minimizing risks and reporting any concerns to the operations management team.
  • Actively promote and enforce Health and Safety at work, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist operations personnel in checking and maintaining stock levels, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Participate in the service, inspection, and maintenance of all equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including completing near miss and damage reports, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with procedures.
  • Prepare equipment for jobs as requested by the operations management team, ensuring timely and efficient deployment.
  • Operate curtain-sided vehicles, secure loads using ratchet straps, and adhere to VOSA requirements.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment, with a physical stamina to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and operation, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
