About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust, working within the Major Trauma System. As a Practitioner Psychologist, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery and operationalisation of an integrated model of physical and psychological care for victims of trauma.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychology input to the planning, development, and delivery of the RLH MTC pathway, focusing on over eighteen-year-olds.
- Support after-trauma care across the pathway, from the ward and into the community, through direct and indirect consultation with staff and carers.
- Teach and train nursing and other multi-disciplinary colleagues on psychological and/or neuropsychological theory and practice.
- Implement published guidance for major trauma, promoting an embedded approach to team working and service delivery.
- Provide clinical supervision to assistant psychologists.

Person Specification
- Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council.
- Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, accredited by the BPS and HCPC.
- Relevant specialist training or qualifications in managing violence and aggression or post-trauma therapy.
- Experience of working in a physical health setting, providing highly specialist health psychology assessment and treatment.
- Experience of teaching and training other professionals and/or clinical supervision.
- Experience of working within MDT settings and providing consultation.
