About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Pain Management Service at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fulfill the expectations and core capabilities of an ACP as set out in the HEE Multi-professional Framework for Advanced Clinical Practice in England, delivering clinical practice across the four pillars of advanced practice, with commitment to a culture of life-long learning and continuous professional development, through engagement with clinical supervision and maintenance of an advanced practice professional portfolio.
  • Work in partnership with patients, families, and members of the multi-disciplinary team, to best meet the needs and wellbeing of the patient, delivering a high-quality evidence-based pain management service.
  • The ACP will be expected to deliver and facilitate practice across the four pillars of Advanced Clinical Practice: namely Clinical, Leadership and Management, Education and Research, with extensive experience in pain management underpinning this practice.
  • Fulfils the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Prescribing Competency Framework requirements as a non-medical prescriber and takes responsibility for ensuring practice is up to date as per RPS framework and Trust policy.
  • The ACP will have a remit included in job planning for leadership and management of the Pain Management Service. The ACP will work alongside and deputise for the Lead Nurse in their absence.
