Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Housing Lawyer to join our client's team on a locum basis for an initial period of 3 months, with potential extension. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Housing Law and Local Government experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a mixed caseload of Housing Litigation, including homelessness possessions, ASB, and general housing management.
  • Support the City Solicitor and Legal team with regard to the conduct of legal casework.
  • Attend Court hearings in the West Midlands on a weekly basis.
  • Deal with Judicial Review cases issued by individuals in relation to homelessness appeals.

Requirements:

  • Recent experience in Housing Law and Local Government.
  • Strong background in Housing Law.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer:

  • Hybrid working arrangement.
  • Weekly attendance required at Court.

Working Hours:

  • 35 hours per week.
  • Monday - Friday.
