Position Overview

Join Barclays as an Assistant Vice President in the Counterparty Credit Risk division, a pivotal role within the Counterparty Risk function that encompasses both the Counterparty Risk Models Group (RMG) and Counterparty Risk Management (CRM). This position offers a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in Counterparty Credit Risk, focusing on model stewardship throughout the entire model lifecycle and engaging in counterparty risk management tasks, including the assessment of derivative and securities financing transactions across various asset classes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and oversee the bank's exposure to counterparties across diverse product lines and asset classes.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of the financial health and credit reliability of the bank's trading partners, including corporations, financial institutions, and sovereign entities.
  • Design and implement credit scoring frameworks to effectively measure counterparty risk.
  • Perform stress testing to evaluate the potential impact of counterparty defaults on the bank's capital and liquidity positions.
  • Negotiate and manage collateral agreements with counterparties to minimize potential losses in the event of default.
