Job Title: Legal Assurance AVP

At Barclays, we're seeking a highly skilled Legal Assurance AVP to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you'll play a crucial role in delivering Legal Assurance Reviews, contributing to the creation and refresh of the Legal Assurance Plan, and supporting the development of the Legal Assurance capability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform independent testing of internal controls to assess their effectiveness in mitigating identified risks.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the bank's control testing processes and procedures.
  • Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
  • Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives, and determination of reward outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of Assurance or Internal Audit methodologies, including risk assessment, developing testing strategies, documenting work performed, and drafting potential issues.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work in a timely and structured manner.
  • Experience working with Legal or Financial Services stakeholders.
  • Practical Data Analytics skills.
