We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Attendance and Exclusions Officer to join our team at Bury Council. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to relate professionally and confidently to children, school staff, and parents.
The role involves working with schools and families to improve school attendance and reduce exclusions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by schools and families, and be able to provide effective support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Work with schools and families to identify and address attendance and exclusion issues
- Provide support and guidance to schools and families to help them develop strategies to improve attendance and reduce exclusions
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to share best practice and improve outcomes for children and young people
- Develop and maintain relationships with schools and families to ensure effective communication and collaboration
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by schools and families
- Ability to provide effective support and guidance to schools and families
- Strong organizational and time management skills
