Position Overview: We are seeking applications for a full-time position as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Acute Medicine, with an emphasis on General Internal Medicine responsibilities.

Role Details: The successful candidate will be stationed at a leading healthcare facility and will have the opportunity to enhance their expertise in Gastroenterology. The department is committed to supporting the development of independent skills in UGI endoscopy within a 12-month timeframe.

Training and Development: The training activities and participation in regional educational sessions will mirror those of our Specialty Registrars in Gastroenterology, albeit without a formal training number. The training provided is acknowledged for any CESR application by the Royal College Tutor.

Contract Type: This position is primarily advertised as a permanent role; however, candidates may also be considered for a fixed-term contract lasting 1-2 years.

Clinical Responsibilities: The post holder will manage two general gastroenterology clinics weekly and assist in the endoscopy service, performing both upper and lower endoscopy procedures. The facility is JAG accredited, maintaining this standard for over a decade, and is dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services.

On-Call Duties: The role includes a commitment to the emergency endoscopy rota (1:6) and the General Internal Medicine on-call rota (1:11) during out-of-hours.
