Imaging Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Imaging Assistant to join our Radiology Department at West Suffolk Hospital and Newmarket Community Diagnostic Centre. As an Imaging Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our radiologists and sonographers in providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Radiology Department, including preparing patient records and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Assist with the smooth running of diagnostic ultrasound lists, ensuring effective communication with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Support the Sonographer in recording details of ultrasound examinations, under their guidance.
- Develop knowledge and skills in running an ultrasound list, with the aim of assisting in recording details of examinations independently.
- Contribute to the ongoing assessment and planning of patient care episodes, promoting equality, diversity, and rights of others.
- Good level of written language and IT skills.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or equivalent clinical experience.
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, with a range of procedures and practices.
- Ability to work in a multi-agency team and manage own workload effectively.
