Project Manager – Nuclear Sector

Advance Training & Recruitment Services is seeking a dynamic Project Manager with a background in Engineering or Project Management to join their team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional project management and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive project management and contract administration.
  • Ensure a unified understanding of project requirements, scope, programs, costs, constraints, risks, and interfaces across the team.
  • Lead, build, motivate, maintain, coach, guide, and develop the project team.
  • Implement governance arrangements in line with corporate and business policies, directives, guidance, and procedures to ensure robust project outcomes.
  • Prioritise safety throughout project delivery.
  • Manage the project within client and DIO agreed budgets.
  • Handle risk and opportunity management from project inception to completion.
  • Oversee sub-contractor procurement processes.
  • Monitor and report project performance against programs, technical quality, financial, and KPI targets both internally and externally.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in Project Management or Engineering, particularly within the Nuclear environment.
  • Proven experience in accountable Project Manager roles on multidisciplinary design projects with design fees exceeding £1M per annum.
  • APM PMQ (or equivalent) recognised level of competence in Project Management is desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of Nuclear Standards.
  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling).
