Job Summary
Infraspec is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and contribute to the success of our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining cost plans and cost estimates for large-scale projects, working closely with our Programme Commercial Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Planning and Estimation
- Prepare detailed budgets and cost estimates at various project stages, from initial concept to final construction, including internal costs.
- Control project costs and prevent overruns by tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Contract Administration
- Administer contracts for design and construction contracts as they are awarded, including change management.
- Accurately report on spend, anticipated final cost, and forecast future months' expenditures through to completion.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budget and provide optimal value.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a cost engineering, contract management, or commercial role within the construction or infrastructure sectors, working on projects typically over £5 million.
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business-related field.
- Full working knowledge and understanding of using web-based contract management tools.
- Thorough understanding of NEC suite of contracts and associated contract administration and negotiations.
