Transport Operations Manager

Transport Supervisor Opportunity
A leading 3PL in the Dagenham area is seeking a Transport Supervisor to join their team. This role requires a self-motivated individual with supervisory experience in a busy transport function. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior transport management team to ensure a customer-centric and financially efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocate fleet and crews to correct routes
- Ensure pre-brief and de-briefings are undertaken for all transport movements
- Manage driver performance
- Manage drivers' hours in line with working time legislation
- Ensure relevant information is recorded for transport KPIs
Key Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience of multi-drop deliveries
- Good knowledge of transport legislation
- An understanding of current H&S legislation
- Transport Manager CPC is desired but not essential
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the transport function and be able to make decisions to ensure its smooth operation. If you have the skills and experience required for this role, we would be keen to hear from you.
