Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physiotherapy Technician to join our Specialist Learning Disabilities Physiotherapy team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to adults with learning disabilities.

Main Duties

As a Physiotherapy Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing physical therapy and rehabilitation services to adults with learning disabilities
  • Assessing and managing mobility problems, posture management, falls prevention, and respiratory care
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Providing education and support to patients, families, and caregivers
  • Participating in equipment provision and moving and handling activities

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Multi-professional NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Numeracy and literacy skills to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities
  • Knowledge of respiratory difficulties and moving and handling in patient care
