Job Title: Debt Recovery Support Assistant/Paralegal/NQ

Francis Wilks & Jones is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our debt recovery team as a support assistant/paralegal/NQ. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the smooth running of the team and its future growth.

About the Role:

The debt recovery team at Francis Wilks & Jones is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires a proactive and enthusiastic individual to support the team in delivering excellent services to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Opening new client and matter files, including the input of data.
  • Preparing Letters of Claim for team leader approval.
  • Assisting with the preparation of standardized documents.
  • Liaising with the Courts by email and by telephone to obtain information and copy documentation.
  • Scanning and electronically filing all incoming and outgoing post.
  • Assisting with the system production of High Court Writ of Control Applications.
  • Supporting the Head of Debt Recovery with billing procedures and cash received procedures.
  • Preparing Hearing Bundles.
  • Ordering stationery for the Debt Recovery Team as and when required.
  • Ensuring that all action lists are completed on a daily basis.
  • Accurate time keeping, record keeping, and file maintenance.
  • Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all Firm and client documentation and/or information.
  • Dealing promptly with client enquiries and correspondence with the support of other team members and the team leader.
  • Ensuring that all client and matter records are made and maintained in line with the Firm's procedures.
  • Assisting with all Administrative tasks for the team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly team player with a good attention to detail. In addition, we are looking for someone who is:

  • Well organized.
  • Has a 'can do' approach to work.
  • Shows initiative and has an developing the role where appropriate.
  • Has good communication skills.

We are happy to work with someone who is keen and enthusiastic to learn. Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to show experience of providing administrative support to fee-earning lawyers and will have competent IT skills, including Microsoft applications.
