Duty Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at YHA Boggle Hole. As a key member of our hospitality operations team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our hostel.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Guide and support team members working in all areas of the hostel, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Operational Management: Utilise our systems for efficient guest check-ins, check-outs and other management functions.
- Cleaning and Housekeeping: Carry out cleaning and housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our guests.
- Customer Service: Assist in the kitchen and serve food and drinks with warmth and hospitality, enhancing the dining experience, while engaging in authentic, inclusive conversations.
- Deputising: Deputise for the Hostel/Deputy Manager, managing the daily hostel operation in their absence.
- Experience: Prior experience in a face-to-face customer service role is an advantage, but not essential. Experience in hospitality or customer service, especially in managing and delivering high-quality service, is highly beneficial.
- Skills: Good communication skills and basic IT proficiency are advantageous, and excellent time management is essential in our dynamic environment.
- Qualifications: Desirable qualifications include Food Safety Level 2 and APLH Level 2, but they are not mandatory.
- Competitive Salary: We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.44 per hour.
