Job Title: Node Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Node Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building virtualised data centres, configuring networks, and administering Windows Server and Active Directory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement virtualised data centres using industry-leading hardware products
  • Configure networks, including switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, PKI, and Windows 10
  • Implement Microsoft technologies such as SQL, Exchange, Skype, SharePoint, and WSUS
  • Work with VMware technologies including ESX & vCenter, NSX, Horizon (VDI), App Volumes
  • Implement KeePass, SolarWinds, Veeam, Trend, and PowerShell scripting
  • Configure Thin Clients & Peripherals (Amulets, Printers, Scanners)
  • Update firmware on hardware such as UPS, Servers, SANs, and Switches
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with strong analytical skills
  • Support Linux systems and handle bulk user provisioning and data migration
  • Engage in configuration management and test and assurance principles

Mandatory Skills:

  • General experience with Microsoft and VMware technologies
  • Networking expertise
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Security Cleared to SC level or above, with a willingness to advance to higher clearance levels
  • Systems/Software Engineering background, covering all aspects of the solution lifecycle
  • Knowledge of MOD IT systems, security policies, and enforcement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
