Cost Consultant

We are seeking a talented Cost Consultant to join our Infrastructure team at Gleeds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing commercial and financial assurance and verification of costs on a range of projects in different sectors.
Responsibilities- Provide commercial and financial assurance and verification of costs on a range of projects in different sectors.
- Analysis and assessment of contractor's accounting and commercial systems and processes.
- Prepare risk-based audit and verification plans.
- Detailed audit and analysis of a range of cost types.
- Prepare high-quality and robust outputs and working papers.
- Understanding and interpretation of different types of contractual frameworks.
- Engagement with contractors, clients, regulatory bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Preparation of clear and concise reports.
- Development of forensic technology and analysis tools.
- Support the Head of Cost Assurance and other senior staff within Gleeds.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced professional who is passionate about cost assurance and verification. You will have a strong understanding of commercial and financial systems and processes, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.
Preferred experience of NEC3/4 contracts, experience of working with corporate risk and audit functions, and experience of cost verification, internal/external audit, financial reviews on significant infrastructure and construction projects are highly desirable.
