Product Specification Specialist

(Location: Sherburn in Elmet)

JOB OBJECTIVE :


• To accurately complete all relevant Customer specifications on designated IT platforms to meet established standards and timelines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :


• Ensure that factory operations and personnel adhere to Health and Safety regulations.


• Accurately finalize customer specifications for all products using the appropriate format or IT system within the specified deadlines.


• Oversee the artwork approval workflow.


• Collaborate with the Process Technologist to gather necessary factory information to ensure customer specifications are accurate.


• Work with the Planning and Purchasing department to verify that all raw material suppliers are correctly listed on specifications and inform Group Technical Services of any new suppliers utilized.


• Coordinate with relevant NPD teams to ensure product specifications are completed for all new items or redesigns.


• Assist the Process Technologist in creating factory Specifications and Quality Assurance Standards as needed.


• Manage Product files, ensuring all necessary information is consistently maintained.


• Act as the designated site Technical representative at Retailer Routine Taste / Quality Panels for at least one retailer.


• Provide flexible support to the Technical Compliance, Technical Services Manager, and Technical Manager for any additional reasonable tasks.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES :


• Communicate with Managers / Supervisors regarding any issues and provide daily reports.


• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Technical Manager or Technical Services Manager.

Additionally, you will participate in any training deemed necessary by the company to enhance your ability to fulfill the above responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

Proficient in computer usage

Familiarity with Retailer Online Specification Systems

Strong Attention to Detail

Capability to work independently and communicate effectively with all management levels

Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (flexibility around core hours is essential)
