Position: Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Toome, County Antrim

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £30 - £40k per annum

Holidays: 28 days per annum including statutory holidays, increasing to 31 after a designated period

Parking: Complimentary onsite parking

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Operations Quality Team to uphold quality standards.
  • Ensure that products align with established quality and service specifications.
  • Foster strong working relationships across various departments.
  • Communicate quality metrics and performance at all organizational levels.
  • Deliver training related to quality assurance.
  • Provide guidance and oversight regarding the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Support Health and Safety management and training initiatives as needed.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or over 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience or training in a manufacturing context, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced technical knowledge and comprehension.
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience with telecommunication and video conferencing tools.
  • A capacity to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality outcomes.
  • Familiarity with various quality system methodologies, including 8D, 5 Whys, LEAN manufacturing, Pareto analysis, FMEA, ISIR, and Core Quality Tools.
  • Ability to conduct professional audits and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Competence in data collection and analysis, with familiarity in Statistical Process Control (SPC).
