Ashton Recruitment is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist for a client in the manufacturing sector.
Position: Quality Assurance Specialist
Location: Toome, County Antrim
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £30 - £40k per annum
Holidays: 28 days per annum including statutory holidays, increasing to 31 after a designated period
Parking: Complimentary onsite parking
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Operations Quality Team to uphold quality standards.
- Ensure that products align with established quality and service specifications.
- Foster strong working relationships across various departments.
- Communicate quality metrics and performance at all organizational levels.
- Deliver training related to quality assurance.
- Provide guidance and oversight regarding the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Support Health and Safety management and training initiatives as needed.
Ideal Candidates Will Possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or over 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience or training in a manufacturing context, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Advanced technical knowledge and comprehension.
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience with telecommunication and video conferencing tools.
- A capacity to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality outcomes.
- Familiarity with various quality system methodologies, including 8D, 5 Whys, LEAN manufacturing, Pareto analysis, FMEA, ISIR, and Core Quality Tools.
- Ability to conduct professional audits and generate comprehensive reports.
- Competence in data collection and analysis, with familiarity in Statistical Process Control (SPC).
