Role Overview
As a Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner, you will be responsible for effectively managing a portfolio of cases within the realm of property law, while upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and client service.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Handle all client matters assigned by the Head of Department or a Partner, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely progression of client work, maintaining regular communication regarding updates and costs.
  • Exhibit exceptional client care, fostering a professional and courteous environment.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality and security of both the Firm's and clients' documentation.
  • Meet agreed billing targets and accurately record time spent on cases.
  • Collaborate with the Office Administrator to oversee credit control for your cases.
  • Comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules and professional conduct regulations.
  • Maintain clear communication with colleagues and external partners.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, including Trainees and Paralegals.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and fulfill Law Society training requirements.
  • Promote the Firm's services and uphold its values in all interactions.
  • Manage client files in accordance with quality standards.
  • Provide advocacy services as needed within your area of expertise.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient billing in line with Firm procedures.
  • Agree on external fees in advance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and report any claims or complaints to the Managing Partner.
  • Diarise key dates and limitation periods for all cases.
  • Assist other departments with inquiries related to your expertise.
  • Stay informed about developments and legislation relevant to your practice area.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Instruct and guide all support staff under your supervision.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should possess:

  • A Law Degree or Management/Business Degree (Essential)
  • A Practising Certificate (Essential)
  • Admission to the Roll of Solicitors (Essential)
  • A minimum of four years' post-admission experience in relevant legal areas (Essential)
