We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Water & Utilities team, working on complex and stimulating projects that are diverse and technically demanding.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of projects, ensuring client technical oversight to meet budget, time-frame, and quality targets.

You will contribute towards the achievement of the divisional business plan and build networks within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical delivery of projects, ensuring client technical oversight to meet budget, time-frame, and quality targets.
  • Contribute towards the achievement of the divisional business plan and build networks within the industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member carrying out production and checking complex mechanical detailed designs including calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
  • Support and/or lead design and advisory services relating to new and existing water and wastewater process plants, pumping stations, and ancillary assets.
  • Technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, in a Design Lead capacity where assigned, using the latest digital design techniques.
  • Establish and grow relationships with clients and capital alliance partners on project technical, commercial, and progress matters.
  • Ensure projects meet required technical, legislative, quality, safety, and environmental standards and objectives.
  • Line management and performance development responsibility for assigned staff.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other directly related degree.
  • Significant experience in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water industry engineering projects.
  • Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design.
