Nursery Cleaner

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Tops Day Nurseries. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our nursery premises, including laundry rooms, kitchens, and staff rooms.

Key Responsibilities

• Disinfecting surfaces, toys, and furniture to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of communal areas, including kitchens and staff rooms.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all areas.
• Able to use the correct cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals safely and appropriately.
• To report any problems, faults, or damage appropriately.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
• A good understanding of hygiene and safety standards, particularly in environments where children are present.
• Aware of the sustainable ethos of the company, including being actively involved with energy conservation and recycling.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks in a timely manner.
