Position Overview: Our client, a leading entity in the HTP industry, is in search of a skilled UTC Traffic Signals Engineer to fulfill a contract position as a Principal Engineer within their active UTC control centre.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and upkeep of a substantial number of traffic signal systems utilizing the Yunex UTC UX platform.
  • Handle 60 Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Centralized Parking Guidance (CPG) systems through Stratos.
  • Address traffic signal inquiries and manage High Volume Motorway (HVM) bollards.
  • Administer traffic signal malfunctions via InView/UTC UX, ensuring prompt repairs and temporary solutions.
  • Monitor the traffic network and implement necessary UTC plan modifications, SCOOT adjustments, and urgent incident responses.
  • Validate and optimize SCOOT networks for enhanced performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in traffic signal engineering, with a focus on the UTC UX system.
  • Demonstrated expertise in network monitoring and executing UTC plan and SCOOT modifications.
  • Willingness to cover shifts during the operational hours of the control centre, which are from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, including occasional weekends.
