Job Summary:

The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of products to both internal and external customers. This involves maintaining accurate inventory levels, managing stock and work-in-progress, and coordinating the shipping process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the order book and provide forecast dates to stakeholders
  • Oversee inventory management and control, ensuring minimal stock and WIP levels
  • Maintain MRP planning parameters to optimize production
  • Coordinate the shipping of products to customers, both internal and external
  • Achieve on-time delivery (OTD) targets
  • Expedite products through the machine shop and assembly cells
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure seamless coordination
  • Create shipping lists and manage customer liaison
  • Attend meetings and contribute to setting plans and priorities for teams
  • Implement action items discussed during meetings
  • Develop reports to prioritize workload and assemblies
  • Build strong relationships with purchasing to ensure continuity of external parts supply
  • Assist with stores responsibilities, including issuing parts against material requests
  • Receive and inspect components against incoming documentation
  • Implement lean materials management principles and understand lean principles

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of MRP systems and planning parameters
