Electrical Systems Manager – Cross Cutting

£57,600 to £75,600 + Excellent benefits

We're seeking an Electrical Systems Manager to be part of our Cross Cutting team, delivering an industry-leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of nuclear power station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise across the lifecycle of Electrical Systems for the SMR nuclear power plant.
  • Develop and manage a team of electrical engineers, setting the work plan on a number of cross-cutting topics.
  • Work closely with engineering teams from across the power station, applying a structured systems engineering approach to design.
  • Manage the delivery of the complete design of identified systems, spanning system architecture, sub-system design, and equipment specification and design/selection.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical power engineering in a design function, with experience in the design of modular HV and LV distribution systems and cable systems.
  • Knowledge in using electrical design packages to perform electrical system analysis and develop cable system design.
  • Experience with developing electrical requirements to support HV and LV electrical architecture.
  • Previous experience working within the nuclear industry is not essential; a proven record of working across the electrical system lifecycle is required.

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate will hold a degree-level qualification in electrical engineering or a related subject.

Benefits:

  • Salary between £57,600 to £75,600.
  • Bonus - Performance-related bonus of up to 12.5%.
