The Payments and Cards Operations department is a crucial segment of the product ownership division, ensuring seamless collaboration among various Handelsbanken plc experts, including compliance, risk management, and financial crime specialists. This department is instrumental in enhancing the UK’s product and service offerings, which is vital for the bank's growth in the region.
The Payments and Cards Operations Officer role is integral to the team, reporting directly to the Deputy Head of Payment and Card Operations or the Senior Operations Team Lead. This position focuses on ensuring the accurate processing of customer payments and addressing payment-related inquiries efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize daily operations and adapt to changing demands.
- Independently execute daily tasks following established procedures to ensure precise payment processing and support branches with inquiries and investigations.
- Maintain accuracy while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Resolve payment queries and discrepancies promptly.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders, including branch personnel and third-party payment providers, to facilitate investigations.
- Document and update relevant management information in the team’s work tracker as required.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as necessary.
- Support the implementation of changes to payment processes when needed.
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of Payment Operations procedures.
