Join Our Team as a Farm Business Manager

We are seeking an accomplished Farm Manager to play a key role in the long-term success of our ambitious agribusiness. As a Farm Business Manager, you will lead the evolution of our well-funded, progressive agricultural operation set within a stunning country estate.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans, including CAPEX, crop rotation schedules, portfolio management, and land use optimisation.
  • Manage budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control measures to ensure profitability and financial sustainability.
  • Maintain a consistent presence on farm and lead from the field as much as the office.
  • Embrace and apply progressive farm management techniques, tools, and data to achieve environmental, operational, and commercial objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of skilled farm operatives, providing guidance, training, and support to maximise productivity, personal development, and performance.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards across all farm operations.
  • Foster positive relationships among the team and with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and ensure seamless functioning of the farm business.
  • Stay abreast of ongoing changes across the agricultural space, subsidy frameworks, and regulatory requirements to inform decision-making and drive innovation.
  • Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) progress against budgets and plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Farm Business Management or a related discipline preferred.
  • Proven experience in farm management, with a track record of success in overseeing and diversifying agricultural enterprises.
  • A 'hands on' approach borne out of a practical farming background.
  • Exceptional financial acumen and business management skills, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
