Job Summary

The Senior Director, Cyber and Technology Risk role is a critical position within the Royal Bank of Canada's (RBC) 2nd line of defense function. As a global leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 4 FTEs to provide strategic guidance and oversight on Cyber and Technology Risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on Cyber and Technology Risk management to the business and senior leadership
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats
  • Lead the development of quarterly risk profiles to provide a comprehensive view of Cyber and Technology Risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective risk management
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends to ensure RBC's risk posture remains robust
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of Cyber and Technology Risk management principles and practices
  • Proven experience in leading high-performing teams and developing strategic risk management plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to analyze complex risk data and provide actionable insights
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
