About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Assistant Headteacher to join our senior leadership team at Heatherwood School. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the day-to-day leadership and management of the school, advocating for pupil safety and welfare at all times.

The successful candidate will have a secure understanding of child-led, personalised learning and will be committed to their own ongoing professional development and that of the dedicated staff team.

Heatherwood School is a vibrant learning community and part of Nexus Multi Academy Trust. We are a special day school for pupils aged 3-19 years with severe, profound and/or multiple learning difficulties.

Our Opportunity

Heatherwood School is seeking to welcome an innovative, energetic, highly motivated and extremely organised Assistant Headteacher to join our senior leadership team. This post will have some teaching commitment.

The successful candidate will contribute to the day-to-day leadership and management of the school, advocating for pupil safety and welfare at all times and having a secure understanding of child-led, personalised learning for our inspirational pupils, in preparation for adulthood, ensuring all pupils reach their full potential.

Similarly, they will be committed to their own ongoing professional development and that of the dedicated staff team.
