We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Highways Engineer to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our Highway team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design delivery of existing projects and growing our client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage highway projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
  • Business Development: Work closely with business managers to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to win new clients.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership and expertise on highway projects, ensuring compliance with relevant design standards and regulations.
  • Client Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that meet their expectations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Civil Engineering or equivalent degree, with a strong understanding of highway design and project management principles.
  • Experience: Proven track record of successful project delivery, with experience in managing teams and leading complex highway projects.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, with expertise in highway design software such as AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, and Civil 3D. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
