CAMHS Children Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our CAMHS team as a CAMHS Children Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage risk in a variety of settings, working collaboratively with children, young people, and their carers to ensure their involvement in the assessment and care planning process.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to address identified needs and risk for allocated clients on a defined caseload.
- Work autonomously and as part of a team, providing routine and urgent assessment and interventions to young people with a wide range of emotional and psychological problems.
- Provide clinical supervision to colleagues and contribute to the development of new ways of supporting children, young people, and families' experiences.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse / Social Worker / Occupational Therapist (Band 5) or relevant professional qualification (Band 6).
- Substantial post-qualification experience working with children, young people, and their carers in a mental health or other complex care setting.
- Clinical/therapeutic knowledge and skills in mental health, including assessment and risk management.
- Experience of safeguarding children and young people, with a commitment to promoting their welfare and well-being.
