Regional Technical Support Engineer for Gas Turbines

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Regional Technical Support Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy AGT (Aeroderivative Gas Turbines). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, investigating and resolving technical issues, and collaborating with our engineering colleagues to develop and implement solutions.
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Regional Technical Support Engineer, you will work closely with our customers to understand their technical needs and provide expert support to resolve issues. You will also collaborate with our engineering team to develop and implement solutions to improve our products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to our gas turbines, ensuring timely and safe resolution.
- Provide technical support to our customers, including scheduled and unscheduled activities.
- Collaborate with our engineering team to develop and implement solutions to improve our products and services.
- Identify opportunities for business development with customers and provide technical leadership on such matters.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support our customers, including the opportunity for overseas travel to customer sites.
Requirements
- Strong experience in the operation and service of gas turbines, with experience in aero-derivative gas turbines being advantageous.
- Familiarity with and experience in the application of a range of problem-solving techniques, both theoretical and practical.
- Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced customer-facing situations, with the ability to work flexibly to deliver creative, robust, safe solutions to our customers.
- Flexible, able to connect with others, and proud of bringing positive ideas to the team.
- Enjoy taking responsibility for tasks and projects assigned.
- Able to manage your own time and adapt to change.
- Strong communication and reporting skills in English, with an appreciation of cultural differences that comes with a global customer base.
