Position Overview:

Green Cat Hydrogen Limited (GCH) is at the forefront of green hydrogen innovation, focusing on the development of electrolytic hydrogen projects as a vital component of the global energy transition and decarbonization efforts.

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Graduate Process Design Engineer with a background in chemical engineering to assist in various process engineering and design initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in pioneering projects, gaining invaluable experience in the hydrogen and renewable energy sectors while collaborating with our seasoned process engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, optimization, and analysis of processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports, technical documentation, and project-specific analyses.
  • Conduct fundamental engineering calculations under the supervision of senior engineers, including equipment sizing and pressure system evaluations.
  • Utilize process simulations to assess and refine chemical processes, ensuring adherence to performance and safety standards.
  • Assist in the creation of process block diagrams, flow diagrams, piping, and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), along with various layout designs.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of safety protocols, risk assessments, and compliance measures.
  • Engage in the use of process simulation software to model and enhance hydrogen production processes, validating outcomes with actual data and suggesting improvements.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical assistance as required.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and professional growth to remain informed about industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications:

  • A recent bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
  • A solid academic background showcasing technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of chemical processes, simulations, and engineering calculations.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across multidisciplinary groups.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, supported by a valid UK driving license.
  • Legal eligibility to work full-time in the United Kingdom.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant internship or practical experience in chemical engineering or process design.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Active membership in recognized engineering institutions or societies.
