Job Description

**Job Title:** Wind Turbine Technician

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team at Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd. As a Wind Turbine Technician, you will be responsible for the routine preventative maintenance of wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, gearbox, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, gearbox, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct unscheduled maintenance, retrofits, emergency breakdowns, and major component exchanges.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Assist in all areas of site operations.
  • Provide safe access and egress to all people in the work party.
  • Comply with customer site rules.
  • Report all incidents and occurrences as per Deutsche Windtechnik company Health and Safety policy.
  • Partake in the rota for on-call cover on weekends and bank holidays.

Requirements:

  • Relevant formal qualifications, minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical, etc.) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry.
  • Ideal two years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment, e.g., wind farms, power stations, industrial process plant, or similar heavy engineering maintenance environments.
  • Valid driving license.
