Job Summary

Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd. is seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team in Duns, Scotland. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct unscheduled maintenance, retrofits, and emergency breakdown repairs
  • Replace major turbine components, such as generators and gearboxes
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Assist in all areas of site operations, including providing safe access and egress to personnel
  • Comply with customer site rules and report incidents and occurrences as per Deutsche Windtechnik company Health and Safety policy
  • Participate in the on-call rota for weekends and bank holidays
Requirements
  • Relevant formal qualifications, minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical, etc.) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry
  • Two years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment, such as wind farms, power stations, or industrial process plant
  • Valid driving license
